RIchie Pope is a cartoonist, character designer, illustrator and storyboard artist from Newport News, VA. He’s done illustrations for publications like The New Yorker, NPR, and The New York Times, among others. He’s also made the comics Fatherson through Youth in Decline, Superitis through Shortbox, and the self-published comic That Box We Sit on, which won a the 2018 Ignatz Award for Outstanding Artist. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.

I’ve also been recognized by Society of Illustrators and Spectrum. I’ve made comics with publishers like Youth in Decline and Shortbox. I currently live in Dallas, TX.
