FAQ:

Q: Tickets are sold out to one of the special events! What can I do?

All events will have a ‘rush line’, where those without tickets can line-up. Once we have allowed in ticketed guests, individuals from the rush line will be allowed to enter the event as long as there is capacity within the fire code of the venue. Once that capacity is reached, no further people will be allowed into the event. So even if you don’t have a ticket, you have a chance on the day of the event.

Q: What can I get signed?

Junji Ito will sign any (legally produced) item he has helped create, including English and Japanese manga, the TCAF 2019 Poster, or official merchandise. He cannot sign fanart, or illegally produced goods.

Q: Can I get more than one item signed?

Sorry, no. We’re working with Shogakukan Inc. and VIZ Media, Ito-sensei’s Japanese and English publishers, to ensure that he remains healthy during the trip so he can make more great manga, and this is the best way for us to do that.

Q: Can I get a wristband each day, for Saturday and Sunday?

Technically yes, but like, it’s such a limited opportunity we’d love to give as many fans as possible a chance to meet Ito-sensei. If you could avoid doing that, we’d appreciate it, and your fellow fans will appreciate it.

Q: Can I get my photo taken with Junji Ito?

Ito-sensei is comfortable having his picture taken in general, and photographs and video of his events are okay. However, we may not be able accommodate any requests by fans to have their picture taken with him at signings or events, as his schedule at the Festival is very tight. We will have to make a decision on the day of the event.

Q: Will Junji Ito’s books and merchandise be available for sale at the event(s)?

Yes! Page & Panel: The TCAF Shop will have copies of all of Ito-sensei’s English manga, TCAF Posters, and select Japanese merchandise available for purchase in the lead-up to the Festival. It’s shop is located inside Toronto Reference Library, 789 Yonge Street, on the first floor. Material will also be available at The Beguiling’s on-site store, located on the second floor of Toronto Reference Library, outside of The Bram & Bluma Appel Salon.
