25 Significant Moments of Québéc Comics
25 Moments Importants de la BD Québécois
From May 9th to July 29th
@ Toronto Reference Library, Browsery, 789 Yonge Street

The Toronto Comic Arts Festival, in partnership with The Festival de la Bande Desinee Francophone de Québéc, Québéc BD, and the Province of Québéc, are proud to present the bilingual exhibition 25 Significant Moments of Quebec Comics / 25 Moments Importants de la BD Québécois.

The Quebec comic scene is today very dunamic and has a rich history that, unfortunately, often goes unrecognized. From its first known publication to its current successes, experience the authors, publishers, and characters that have shaped Québéc comics as we know them today. Through 25 panels, you can discover significant moments in the history of the 9th art in Québéc.

The Toronto Comic Arts Festival will present this exhibition at Toronto Reference Library in the first floor browsery, on the windows, so that it may be read and enjoyed from inside the library and from the street, engaging library customers and passers-by.

Our thanks to Thomas-Louis Côté and the government of Québéc for helping organize this exhibition, and Toronto Reference Library for hosting it.
